Theresults of an infrared survey flown on the 19 March, 1991, over the Tokaanu-Waihi GeothermalField are described. Video imagery was using two helicopter-mounted Selected digitized, processed and by computer. The purpose of the survey was to obtain data, in a convenient video the location, size and intensity of Tokaanu-Waihi surface thermal features, particularly in remote parts of the field which have not previously been accuratelymapped. As well as mapping such features, a baseline is also far with future surveys to monitor change in surface activity. The detailed thermal information will also be useful far future planning field management purposes. |
