| Abstract | Sustainability assessments are useful to decision-makers in showing the progress of energy developments towards sustainable development. Geothermal developments may result in both positive and negative environmental and socio-economic impacts. Sustainability indicators are important tools in any sustainability assessment framework, since they highlight positive and negative trends in these impact areas. This paper describes the methodology used to develop indicators that measure the sustainability of geothermal energy projects. |
