| Abstract | A simple model is proposed for waterhock interaction in rock fractures through which geothermal water flows. Waterhock interaction experiments were carried out at high temperature and pressure (200-350 "C, 18 MPa) in order to obtain basic solubility and reaction rate data. Based on the experimental data, changes of idealized fracture apertures with time are calculated numerically. The results of the calculations show that the precipitation from water can lead to plugging of the fractures under certain conditions. Finally, the results are compared with the experimental data. |
