| Abstract | The developed activity around thermo mineral resource involves a wide range of scientific and engineering disciplines used by various researchers. In this paper, a geographic information system (GIS) is used as decision-making tool to target the most promising geothermal area in the northeastern part of Morocco. The method is based on the use of spatial relationships between geothermal manifestations, geological, geochemical and thermal data layers. The surface temperature map, the distance to lineament, the productivity map and the salinity map were were combined in GIS environment using two different models: namely the Boolean logic and the weighted overlay models. The result shows the region of fezouane as favorable to develop a geothermal project |
