A major development in the field of thermodynamics in recent years is the cycle which adjustable proportion working fluid mixture. Following its successful implementation in a demonstration plant in the United States, three new power stations are being built or proposed for building in promises to he the preferred option for power generation throughout the next century, because it produce the highest power output per unit of heat input in comparison with available power generating systems. A 30 megawatt design is proposed to utilise waste hot water discharged from the Wairakei steamfield. |
