| Abstract | A distributed control system (DCS) has been developed for operation of the Kawerau geothermal field.The DCS functions include steam pressure control, steam flow billing, flow and pressure monitoring, remote well flow control and auto paging field operators. The system has evolved over a number of years from paper chart recorders to dataloggers to a desktop system to an industrial DCS. |
