| Abstract | Two edge detection methods, Rotation-variant Template Matching (RTM) and Clustering-based for Edge Detection (CED), were been used to indicate lithology boundaries in analyzing airborne magnetic data. Reduce to pole (RTP) and analytic signal (AS) transformation were been applied in data preparation. RTP and AS transformation to data at latitude more than 50° produced similar results in application of these edge detection methods. The edge detection method such as RTM and CED, could be applied to airborne magnetic data in order to help lithologic mapping by distinguishing intrusive complex rocks to surrounding rocks. |
