| Abstract | Lack of proper scale and corrosion control in geothermal power production is a major hurdle in advancing the use of this renewable source of energy. Among the many challenges is the variability of brine chemistry, use of multiple wells, temperature, non-condensable gasses, and material of construction. In this paper the results of the study to develop corrosion inhibitors for drysteam (Geyser) and brine re-injection operations are presented. The inhibitors reduced the corrosion rate by as much as 95 |
