| Abstract | The paper describes the results of studies performed at the Acoculco geothermal zone (Mexico) to assess the feasibility of developing it as a Hot Dry Rock system for power generation. The origin of the heat source was investigated, downhole temperatures in two deep exploration wells were measured, and faults, fractures, local stress and type of basement were studied. This work identified the zone as a possible site for a future HDR project. |
