| Abstract | There is a very limited base of experience in the development of true Enhanced Geothermal Systems (EGS) in areas not previously developed for hydrothermal production. Design of a prototype model for a true EGS facility will assist in creating a successful demonstration project. Key elements of the design include site selection, process system design, and reservoir creation. After a successful demonstration has been fielded, variations on the prototype design can be developed in order to create a robust approach for widespread application of EGS technology. |
