| Abstract | A central California geothermal company has combined the technologies of reverse-circulation cementing (RCC), foamed-cement slurries, latex additives, and a lightweight additive made of crushed volcanic rock to cement a large-diameter casing through naturally fractured, geothermal zones presenting high risk for lost circulation (LC). This case-history paper presents product descriptions, design considerations, and job details applicable to the operation. |
