| Abstract | Panax Geothermal Ltd is exploring for ‘blind’ geothermal targets in buried sandstone units in areas of high heat flow in the Otway Basin. Independent studies indicate a generating potential of 1,500MWe for the area. In addition, the Company is exploring for ‘wet’ geothermal targets in the Himalayan geothermal province in India, the Krishna-Godavari rift zone is also in India and in the Tien Shan mountains in the Kyrgyz Republic. Areas in the Kyrgyz Republic with extreme high heat flows have been identified. |
