| Abstract | The degree of steady state heat flow between production and re-injection (RI) wells is evaluated in Palinpinon 1, SNGPF. This was deduced given the historical data from Y2000- 2005 ratio of heat-flow (?pr) between extraction and injection of well-pairs at similar time-frame. The steady-state is defined as the ratio of heat-flow between production-injection at 1.0 or unity, given the equivalent quartz / injection temperatures and production / injection flow. This is determined by plotting ?pr against injection flow. The injection flow at unity is then defined as the injection flow restorative of steady-flow. The primary assumption in this model is the existence of liquid-saturated aquifers connecting these wells. The results of evaluation were then compared to the existing preferred injection flow in the field. The comparison revealed that there are significant differences between the two. It is likely that adjustment has to be made in the current injection load to attain the steady-state of Palinpinon 1 reservoir. |
