| Abstract | The regulatory and permitting requirements of geothermal power projects in Nevada have developed in parallel with the geothermal power industry itself and with increasing levels of environmental control throughout the U.S.A. The current requirements are reviewed, together with consideration of the state agencies involved (and the details of such involvement) in each of the regulatory/permitting processes. This paper will be of interest and use to anyone concerned with the development of geothermal resources in Nevada, and for comparison with requirements at other locations. |
