| Abstract | Many geothermal exploratory, development and power plant projects are located in remote, mountainous locations. Often electrical power is not available until the project enters the stage where the power plant can be operated. Even at this stage, it is often a requirement that when an upset of the power plant does occur, the Ambient Air Monitoring Station(s) still be operational. This paper describes a solar powered, air quality and meteorological monitoring system which, through radio telemetry, is in near constant access and which is not dependent upon external electrical power. |
