| Abstract | After a 20 year effort, the first increment of commercial geothermal energy is on line toward reducing Hawaii's extreme dependence on imported oil for its electricity. The State government is leading the effort to resolve the economic, resource assessment and environmental uncertainties that face large scale geothermal development. |
