| Abstract | A binary cycle using a low boiling point medium such as freon and isobutane is generally applied to geothermal power generating from low temperature geothermal resource. However, in order for binary cycle geothermal power generation to gain ground some problems are yet to be solved such s international restriction of freon gas and difficulty of handling explosive media such as isobutane. This paper reports on the results of a feasibility study made on an application to power generation using a low temperature geothermal resource of vacuum flash cycle which is relatively easy to realize as an alternative to the binary cycle. |
