| Abstract | About 15 geothermal projects are in operation or under development in the Republic of Macedonia, Yugoslavia. Four of them are of major importance and have a general influence on the development of geothermal energy use in agriculture, industry and the social sector. These are the Bansko, Kocani, Vincia Makedonska and Gevgelija geothermal projects. The present stage of development and planned characteristics of the integrated geothermal project Bansko are presented in the paper. The results and expected improvements are discussed, particularly the part connected to the goals of the scientific investigation project: "Geothermal Energy in Vegetable Production (JF 819)" supported by the USA - Yugoslavia Committee for Scientific Technological Collaboration. |
