| Abstract | Algeria is becoming more interested in developing geothermal activities. In this paper were present first a follow-up of the reconnaissance studies done since 1966, which have lead to the choice of the most interesting zones. A brief presentation will be given o the result of these studies concerning two selected sties (Hamman Meskoutine and Hamman Bou-Hadjar). A brief description showing the complexity of the Algerian geology will be given followed by a description of some hot springs and the presentation of some known geothermal reservoirs. A discussion about results and the expected activities in our center will be presented. |
