| Abstract |
A high resolution Automated Microseismic System (AMS) has been installed by GEO Operator Corporation at the Coldwater Creek steam field in the Geysers. The dense, sixteen station, three component array is located 130 km northwest of San Francisco, CA and covers approximately 15 km2. The AMS is specifically designed to provide time dependent three dimensional microseismic information as the key component in an effective reservoir management program. The AMS, in real time, automatically detects, locates, processes, and stores events within the steam field. boundaries. A description of the AMS, its features, and its capabilities along with some preliminary data and analyses are presented. |
