| Abstract | A comprehensive Geothermal Resource and Transmission Element has been prepared for Lake County, California. There are currently four power plants and associated steam fields in Lake County capable of producing 378 MW of power along with two smaller plants under construction. The plan includes geothermal growth scenarios ranging from an additional 250 to 470 MW of electrical generating capacity over the next twenty years. Based on these projections, the cumulative environmental impacts of development are evaluated. This analysis provides the basis for a variety of goals and policies critical to guiding future development. |
