| Abstract | Lithologic units encountered in the Dixie Valley geothermal field range from Triassic marine sediments to recent basin filing sediments. Structural features affecting the location of the geothermal activity include Mesozoic thrusting, late Tertiary normal faulting and Quaternary to recent normal faulting. The hydrothermal mineral suite is variable, due in part to rock gas reactions. |
