| Abstract | More attention needs to be paid to steam purity in geothermal power plants. In many cases, inadequate steam purity leads to performance degradation, turbine damage, and economic loss. Recent geothermal power plant experiences are discussed along with field test programs and retrofit approaches for resolving operating problems related to steam purity. Power plant design considerations for new facilities are also discussed. |
