| Abstract | An attempt was made to find out possible influence of the acidic gases emitted from drillholes in the Olkaria field on the rain water of its surrounding areas. Rain water samples were collected from eight stations situated at various distances and directions from the field. Two hundred and thirty six samples were collected in all, and pH, Chloride, Sulphate, total dissolved solids and conductivity measurements were carried out. It was concluded that there was no obvious influence on the chemistry of rain water by the acid gases emission. |
