| Abstract | Ultra filtration tests were performed at pilot plant level for colloidal silica removal from the boiler feed water of the power plant at San Luis Potosi, Mexico, which arises from the geothermal reservoir "Gogorron". 97% of the colloidal silica was removed, the average initial concentration being 250 ppb and the average final product having less than 8 ppb. The ultra filtration pilot tests were carried out with spiral and hollow fiber membranes. An outline of the results is reported in this paper. |
