| Abstract | Geophysical investigations carried out in the Montefriascone (Bolsena Lake, Italy) geothermal area using circulate electric soundings (CES), have shown that the technique is very efficient in locating deep linear fractures and, indirectly, in finding permeability and siting deep geothermal wells correctly. In particular, it was demonstrated that certain geoelectric parameters may provide additional information on the fracturing of reservoir rocks from both the qualitative and quantitative points of view, demonstrating the validity of those geoelectric investigation techniques which, give information on the effect known a paradox of anisotropy. |
