| Abstract | In the investigation of high enthalpy geothermal fields a better quality of any deep drilling program can be obtained with the aid of seismic exploration methods. The results presented support the potential of seismic reflection method in determining the geometry of even very complex buried structures and defining the macrofracture trends. Amplitude anomalies, detected inside the metamorphic crystalline rocks, are likely to be associated with the presence of trapped fluids, that is, partially saturated rocks or sharp variations of differential pressures of the pore fluids. |
