Abstract Four numerical complex terrain dispersion models - Mathew/ADPIC, SMOG, Hybrid an 2DFLOW - were evaluated with recent atmospheric tracer test data to determine the best performing model under various meteorological regimes. The Hybrid model, which demonstrated the best overall performance, was then used to generate linear source receptor impact matrices under nocturnal drainage and daytime limited mixing conditions. These can be readily used by state and local air pollution control agencies to estimate the air quality impacts on proposed new geothermal emission sources and the effectiveness of alternative emission control strategies.
