| Abstract | On the bases of cuttings, cores and wireline logs obtained from 130 exploratory and development wells, contour, isopach, and paleogeologic maps were prepared for the Cerro Prieto geothermal field. From these maps, a tectonic model was developed and an interpretation was made of the geologic history of the different lithologic units identified in the field. The resulting model shows a fracture and a set of radial faults which are believed to be the main conductors of heat and geothermal fluids in the geothermal field. |
