Sine its inception in 19080, the Heber Binary Project has made significant progress towards it goal of demonstrating the economic and operational viability of a commercial scale, binary cycle, geothermal power plant. Plant design and engineering have been completed, and all major equipment has been received at the site. Construction at the site began June 1983, and the major mechanical and electrical contracts were awarded in the Spring of 1984. Plans for manning the plant and conducting the demonstration phase of the Project are well underway to support a turbine roll in April 1985. |
