| Abstract | Thermal conductivity and diffusivity of the subsurface are evaluated as critical parameters in the application of certain geothermal technologies. The variability of these parameters as a function of other subsurface properties is investigated. A simple method of estimating thermal conductivity and diffusivity from available information at specific locations is explained, and an interactive computer program that has been developed to assist in this tasks is described. |
