Abstract During the 1981 well testing program in the Beowawe Geothermal Field, north central Nevada, the Batz well was used as an observation well during interference testing and also tested for potential use as an injector. The Batz well had been left full of old mud, which was circulated out prior to perforating an injection testing. However, injectivity was low and fall off analyses indicated high skin damage. A simple mud acid stimulation was then done, which resulted in a thirty fold increase in injectivity and a total removal of skin damage.
