| Abstract | The Oregon Department of Energy (ODOE) is developing model siting standards for small geothermal facilities which can be adapted to county zoning ordinances. Most counties either omit geothermal facilities from their planning documents or evaluate applications for geothermal facilities by general, subjective criteria. the ODOE model siting standards are designed to provide counties with the tools to address local concerns and evaluate proposed geothermal projects. |
