| Abstract |
This paper summarizes the past experiences of ANSALDO in the corrosion field of the geothermal components for turbogenerators, condenser, etc. We have accumulated considerable experience on materials behavior that lead us to the solicitation of the martensitic 13cr rotors, AISI 316 condenser, etc. These materials are presently used for the equipment that ANSALDO is supplying for a California power plant which will be in operation in the very near future. The selection of the above materials is the result of many years of experience. Examples of all cases of corrosion experience in the past years have been included. |
