| Abstract | This paper describes the policies and strategies adopted in the development of the Tongoan and Okoy geothermal fields in the Philippines. The general setting within which geothermal development in the country is taking place is first discussed. This leads to a presentation of general development and design policies. Finally, the difference of strategy between the two fields are contrasted. The conclusion reached is that development at Tongoan is dominated by wide regional influences, whilst that at Okoy is affecte4d more by the local physical characteristics of the resource area. |
