| Abstract | There are several features unique to the geopressure geothermal rescue which narrow that range of power cycle alternative. The purpose of this paper is to describe the thermodynamic and operating restrictions which appear to favor the application of a supercritical Rankine power cycle utilizing propane for the recovery of thermal energy form the geopressure geothermal resource. This power cycle can be integrated into a natural gas recovery scheme that conserved reservoir pressure for brine disposal and produces gas at pipeline pressure. |
