| Abstract | CH2M HILLS is designing a geothermal district heating system for the City of Boise, Idaho, under the auspices of a grant from the Department of Energy. Geothermal water at 170F, will be pumped into a pipe network which will distribute the water directly to business and residential districts. This paper presents the design trade offs performed to optimize selection and sizing of pipeline materials. |
