| Abstract | Hydrogen peroxide is being used in hydrogen sulfide abatement processes in geothermal well drilling and power plant operations. This paper reviews the processes presently in use and suggests possible future uses in stacking, well venting and treatment of other geothermal fluids. The differences in the operating conditions and equipment for treating sulfide in steam condensate and steam are emphasize for these two treatments. In treating both steam and steam condensate, high sulfide abatement levels of 90% or greater are being readily attained. |
