| Abstract | Analysis of transient pressure tests combined with spinner surveys and a knowledge of the geology of the area have allowed us to define the injectivity potential of the Raft River geothermal site. The present two injection wells will allow approximately tow to four months of injection at the required rate of 2500 gpm without fracturing the formation. A numerical simulator ahs been used to model the injection portion of the reservoir to investigate options such as hydraulic fracturing or the drilling of an additional well to provide sufficient subsurface disposal. |
