| Abstract | Unfortunately, few temperature profiles have been taken in flowing geothermal boreholes. This is a pity, because astonishingly enough, the three experiments studied here give a straight-line relationship for temperature with depth. Moreover, this gradient is apparently simply correlated with both hole diameter and flow rate as in the equation T/km=10.69 (wt/d). |
