| Abstract | A reliable surface/subsurface system for logging geothermal wells ahs been developed by Dresser Atlas. This system consists of a full suite of high temperature logging instruments, which operate in conjunction with a high temperature single conductor logging cable. The surface support equipment includes a Geothermal Wireline Blowout Preventer, special high temperature lubricator, and a Wireline cooler. This program resulted in various elastomeric compounds, electrical connectors, and electro-mechanical components being upgrade for geothermal application both downhole and on the surface. This nee Geothermal Logging System has proven itself in commercial operation over the past two years. |
