Abstract Geothermal formations are often characterized by extensive fracturing. Because of the rock matrix has very low permeability, the fracture system provides the main conduit for fluid flow. Therefore, radial flow assumptions may not be applicable to geothermal fluid flow. Linear flow may be a ore likely configuration. This paper presents a method of pressure interference analysis using a linear flow model. An example of application for an interference test at the Geysers is included.
