| Abstract | The basic types of geothermal reservoir models can be described as: (1) Empirical, (2) Analytical, (3) Semi-analytical, and (4) Numerical. Examples of these types of models are given form literature to illustrate the various approaches. It is concluded that which of the above types of models to be used for a specific reservoir or how "lumped" the parameters should be in the model depends on the purpose of the modeling effort, amount and accuracy of available data, and the available time and budget. |
