Abstract The Harney Basin of Central Oregon is typical, of underdeveloped areas within the interior western United States whose agricultural and/or industrial potential can be enhanced by utilization of low an medium temperature geothermal resources. Feasibility studies area being conducted to confirm the viability of a 10000 sq ft meter greenhouse complex to be located in the Harney Basin, just east of Burns. The investigations area concentrating on the quantity and qualities of the geothermal resources, land and water ownership and entitlements, the positive and negative aspects of marking the proposed facility and on all economics of the project especially comparisons with the use of "conventional" fuels. The purpose of this report is to describe, for potential geothermal developers, the scope and objectives of prudent pre-project investigations.
