| Abstract | Through its role as an electric utility supplying energy to operate State Water Project, the California Department of Water Resources has made a comprehensive commitment to the development of geothermal resources. This commitment has involved the department in all types of geothermal development - from supplying venture capital for geothermal exploration to power plant construction utilizing geothermal steam and low temperature geothermal fluid. Involvement in such a wide variety of geothermal activities is unique in the utility industry. |
