| Abstract | A lumped parameter model of Broadlands geothermal field was used to study possible power station configurations. For two stage flash, a broad optimum was found in the inlet pressure on the turbine, from 6 to 10 bar with a value at the low end of range, 6.2 bar being recommended. A three stage flash was also considered, and the best choice was the use of temporary HP topping, sets. These HP sets would be sustained for one third of the stations lifetime. |
