Three geothermal fields: Yang-pa-ching of Tibetan autonomous region, Tenchung of Yunnan province and Feng-shun of Kwantung province are briefly described. Experimental generators have been installed in the Yang-pa-ching and Feng-shun geothermal fields to produce electricity. Over 2,000 hot springs are known in China. Most of the hot springs are concentrated in Yunnan, Kwantung and Fukien provinces, they are controlled by deep seated fault and fracture systems and some are related to Tertiary and Quanternary volcanoes. |
