The analysis of reservoir data by different methods (well testing, well logging, geology, etc.) often provides good information on the average parameters which influence the behavior of the phenomena. In this study, a mathematical model for the description of a two phase flow is described; the local equations can be integrated with the total volume of the reservoir, assuming a thermodynamic succession of states of equilibrium. A numerical model describing that total evolution of the reservoir is shown, and the results are verified using laboratory data from a bench scale model. An excellent agreement between numerical and experimental results was found. The model will be tested on field data in the future. |
