| Abstract | Thermal and acoustic simulations of the Raft River binary cycle plant have been developed and used to develop controls and operating procedures and to define plant performance. The thermal hydraulic simulation describes the behavior of the geothermal, isobutane and coolant loops during startup, shutdown and power range operation. A separate simulation has been used to study acoustic effects in the geothermal loop. |
