| Abstract | The effect of capillarity on vapor pressure lowering in porous media was discussed by Calhoun et al. (1949) in a classic study. Experimental data were presented on the relative pressure ration for several sandstone cores, and the data were interpreted in terms of capillary effects caused by curved liquid interfaces within porous media. This study indicates that the relative pressure rations were more likely caused by absorption. |
